AB  - This paper contains the results of experimental analysis of fatigue endurance of used steel teeth regenerated by hard facing. The cylindrical spur gears were tested and compared with the newly made ones, oiler being regenerated by hard facing with subsequent cementation and quenching. The fatigue testing wider variable amplitude loading was used to determine the duration of operational life through measurement of wear. The obtained results demonstrated the impact of hard facing methods on gear endurance in operation. In the test on regenerated gears it was discovered that initial pits appeared almost simultaneously for different facing materials and a bit earlier than in tests on newly made ones, despite their considerably higher pitting rate. Apart from that, the tested operational lives of regenerated and newly-made gears were approximately equal and much longer than predicted.

Assessment of the behaviour of fatigue loaded HSLA steel welded joint by applying fracture mechanics parameters

AB  - From a fracture mechanics point of view on welded joints, it is assumed that the welded joint is pre-cracked such as that the fatigue life of the pre-cracked structure is then determined by the period of crack growth under variable load. Experimental data obtained by testing provide a substantial basis for a better understanding and an explanation of the phenomenon of material fatigue. Low cycle fatigue (LCF) occurs during the process of charging and discharging of reactors, pressure vessels and pipelines; the fatigue can be accelerated by an additional negative effect of temperature variation and the aggressive effect of the media contained inside the vessel, and during the exploitation of the equipment in the processing industry. In the present paper the results are presented of J-integral measurements at LCF of a low-alloyed high strength steel (HSLA) weld metal used in the submerged arc welding process in the manufacture of pressure vessels.
AB  - U zavarenim spojevima, sa gledišta mehanike loma, se pretpostavlja prisustvo prslina, gde se onda vek s obzirom na zamor takvih konstrukcija sa prslinama procenjuje vremenom rasta prsline pod promenljivim opterećenjem. Eksperimentalni podaci dobijeni ispitivanjem pružaju značajnu osnovu za bolje razumevanje i objašnjenje fenomena zamora materijala. Niskociklični zamor (LCF) se javlja u procesu punjenja i pražnjenja reaktora, posuda pod pritiskom i cevovoda; proces zamora može ubrzati dodatni negativan efekat promene temperature i efekat agresivne sredine sadržane u posudi, kao i tokom perioda eksploatacije opreme u procesnoj industriji. U ovom radu prikazani su rezultati merenja J integrala pri niskocikličnom zamoru (LCF) metala šava niskolegiranog čelika povišene čvrstoće (HSLA), koji se koristi u proizvodnji posuda pod pritiskom postupkom zavarivanja pod praškom.

Tribological aspect of selecting filler metal for repair surfacing of gears by hardfacing

AB  - Analysis of repaired gears made of case-hardening steel 20MnCr5 by hardfacing method is presented in this paper. Hardfacing repaired gears are tested on the closed power circuit device with variation of the torque value. During testing the wear intensity is measured and the gears' working life is predicted. Samples made of the same material as the gear are tested on tribometer of the 'block-on-disc' type. The gears are repaired in two ways: (1) by hardfacing with filler metal, which is subsequently case-hardened and heat-treated and then mechanically machined, and (2) by hardfacing with filler metal of high hardness (≈ 60 HRC).
AB  - U radu je predstavljena analiza zupčanika izrađenih od čelika za cementaciju 20MnCr5 koji je repariran tvrdim navarivanjem. Zupčanici reparirani tvrdim navarivanjem su ispitivani na uređaju sa zatvorenim strujnim kolom sa varijacijom veličine prenosnog momenta. Tokom ispitivanja, izmeren je intenzitet habanja i procenjen je radni vek zupčanika. Uzorci napravljeni od istog materijala kao zupčanik su ispitivani na tribometru tipa 'blok-na-disku'. Zupčanici su reparirani na dva načina: (1) putem tvrdog navarivanja dodatnim materijalom, koji je onda termohemijski i termički obrađen a zatim obrađen mašinski, a (2) putem tvrdog navarivanja sa dodatnim materijalom visoke tvrdoće (≈ 60 HRC).

AB  - The aim of this work was to determine the influence of welding heat input on hardness distribution after SURFACING of two quench+temper steels. The results indicate that variation of heat input can partially provide required hardness distribution in heat affected zone.
AB  - U radu je prikazan uticaj pogonske energije zavarivanja na raspodelu tvrdoće u ZUT pri navarivanju dva čelika za poboljšanje. Utvrđeno je da se variranjem nivoa pogonske energije navarivanja može u znatnoj, ali ne i dovoljnoj meri, obezbediti dobijanje željene raspodele tvrdoće u ZUT.
