Spatio-temporal distribution of the calanoid copepod genus Centropages in relation to environmental factors in the southern Adriatic Sea (NE Mediterranean)

AB  - Spatial and temporal variability of Copepoda was studied at four stations in the Bay of Boka Kotorska and five stations in the open waters of the South Adriatic Sea in 2008. The research area included three sectors differing in geographical and hydrological conditions: The Bay of Boka Kotorska, the estuary of the Bojana river (both with the typical neritic Copepod fauna), and offshore waters of South Adriatic Sea (with the pelagic species). Four species from the genus Centropages Kröyer, 1849 were registered: C. typicus Kröyer, 1849, C. kröyeri Giesbrecht, 1893, C. violaceus (Claus, 1863) and C. ponticus Karavaev, 1895. Only one of the species, C. typicus, was encountered at all nine stations. By examining the seasonal distribution and abundance of  specimens, as well as the ecological properties of the researched area, we observed particular behavioural pattern in distribution and abundance of certain species that had not been described previously. The conclusion is that the seasonal differences in the horizontal distribution are associated with the dynamics of the hydrographic conditions of the South Adriatic Sea. Significant relationships have been reported between C. kröyeri abundance and the temperature and dissolved oxygen concentration, and C. typicus abundance and pH factor.
AB  - Répartition spatio-temporelle des copépodes calanoïdes du genre Centropages en relation avec
les facteurs environnementaux dans le sud de la mer Adriatique (NE Méditerranée). La variabilité spatiale et temporelle des copépodes a été étudiée dans quatre stations de la baie de Boka Kotorska et cinq stations dans les eaux du large de la mer Adriatique Sud en 2008. La zone de recherche comprenait trois secteurs présentant des conditions géographiques et hydrologiques différentes : la baie de Boka Kotorska, l’estuaire de la rivière Bojana (tous deux avec la faune typique des copépodes néritiques) et les eaux au large de la mer Adriatique du Sud (avec les espèces pélagiques). Quatre espèces du genre Centropages Kröyer, 1849 ont été enregistrées. C. typicus Kröyer, 1849, C. kröyeri Giesbrecht, 1893, C. violaceus (Claus, 1863) et C. ponticus Karavaev, 1895. Une seule de ces espèces, C. typicus, a été observée dans les neuf stations. En examinant la répartition saisonnière et l’abondance des spécimens, ainsi que les propriétés écologiques de la zone étudiée, nous avons observé un comportement particulier dans la répartition et l’abondance de certaines espèces qui n’avaient pas été décrites précédemment. La conclusion est que les différences saisonnières dans la distribution horizontale sont associées à la dynamique des conditions hydrographiques de la mer Adriatique Sud. Des relations significatives ont été enregistrées entre l’abondance de C. kröyeri et la température et la concentration d’oxygène dissous, et l’abondance de C. typicus et le pH.

On the Stark broadening of the Re II spectral lines

AB  - Stark broadening parameters - full widths at half maximum (FWHM) and shifts for 11 Re II lines have been calculated. The plasma parameters used were electron density of  1017 cm−3 and temperature from 5 000 K to 80 000 K. Calculations were performed using the simplified modified semiempirical (SMSE) approach and compared with calculations by Cowley’s approximative Stark broadening formula at 10000 K, usefull in spectrum synthesis. The results have also been considered in the atmosphere model of A type star and for DB white dwarfs.

AB  - Luminescentne pojave se neizbežno javljaju u mnogim oblastima, od svakodnevnog života do sofisticiranih aplikacija u nauci i tehnici. Odavno su predmet istraživanja, gde se modeluju procesi i realizuju praktični sistemi. 
Nauka o materijalima je vezana, kako za sve veći broj novih materijala, tako i za veliki broj materijala sa dugom istorijom. Sa druge strane postoji više procesa koji dovode do pojave luminescencije. Zato je oblast luminescencije multidisciplinarna, stalno prisutna u kombinaciji sa mnogim naučnim disciplinama.
U ovom radu su razmatrani novi materijali, razvijeni na različite načine. Neki od njih su sintetizovani od češće prisutnih hemijskih jedinjenja, a neki su vezani za razne matrice i
primese retkih zemalja, čime su, prema današnjem trendu, vezani za kvantne generatore – lasere, kao i različite tipove senzora, detektora i sl. Promene koncentracije primesa za koje
su aktivni materijali kod kvantnih generatora vezani, direktno su dovele do promene koeficijenta korisnog dejstva. To se postiže izlaganjem aktivnih materijala snopovima elektromagnetnog zračenja, kao i izlaganjem nuklearnim i drugim vrstama zračenja.
Praćene su luminescentne pojave iz literature, a za izabrane grupe materijala koje su proizvod laboratorija, na aparaturama / sistemima, gde je temperatura bila parametar, a laserski izvor u okviru spektrofluorometarskih sistema, izvršena je serija merenja predstavljena u ovom radu. Iz
dobijenih spektara interpretirani su razni podaci o materijalu. U ovom radu su predstavljena karakteristična vremena, vezana za oblike izmerenih spektara u vremenskom domenu.
AB  - Luminescent phenomena inevitably occur in many areas, from
everyday life to sophisticated applications in science and
technique. They have long been the subject of research, where
processes are modeled and practical systems are realized.
Materials science is related to both an increasing number of new
materials and a large number of materials with a long history. On
the other hand, there are several processes that lead to the
appearance of luminescence. That is why the field of luminescence
is multidisciplinary, constantly present in combination with many
scientific disciplines.
In this work, new materials, developed in different ways, were
considered. Some of them are synthesized from more commonly
present chemical compounds, and some are related to various
matrices and admixtures of rare earths, which, according to today's
trend, are related to quantum generators - lasers, as well as various
types of sensors, detectors, etc. Changes in the concentration of
admixtures, to which the active materials in quantum generators
are connected, directly led to a change in the useful effect
coefficient. This is achieved by exposing active materials to beams
of electromagnetic radiation, as well as by exposing them to
nuclear and other types of radiation.
Luminescent phenomena from the literature were monitored,
and for selected groups of materials that are the product of the
laboratory, on apparatus / systems, where temperature was a
parameter, and the laser source within spectrofluorometric systems,
a series of measurements presented in this paper was performed.
Various data about the material were interpreted from the obtained
spectra. This paper presents characteristic times related to the
shapes of the measured spectra in the time domain.

abstract = "Luminescentne pojave se neizbežno javljaju u mnogim oblastima, od svakodnevnog života do sofisticiranih aplikacija u nauci i tehnici. Odavno su predmet istraživanja, gde se modeluju procesi i realizuju praktični sistemi. Nauka o materijalima je vezana, kako za sve veći broj novih materijala, tako i za veliki broj materijala sa dugom istorijom. Sa druge strane postoji više procesa koji dovode do pojave luminescencije. Zato je oblast luminescencije multidisciplinarna, stalno prisutna u kombinaciji sa mnogim naučnim disciplinama.U ovom radu su razmatrani novi materijali, razvijeni na različite načine. Neki od njih su sintetizovani od češće prisutnih hemijskih jedinjenja, a neki su vezani za razne matrice iprimese retkih zemalja, čime su, prema današnjem trendu, vezani za kvantne generatore – lasere, kao i različite tipove senzora, detektora i sl. Promene koncentracije primesa za kojesu aktivni materijali kod kvantnih generatora vezani, direktno su dovele do promene koeficijenta korisnog dejstva. To se postiže izlaganjem aktivnih materijala snopovima elektromagnetnog zračenja, kao i izlaganjem nuklearnim i drugim vrstama zračenja.Praćene su luminescentne pojave iz literature, a za izabrane grupe materijala koje su proizvod laboratorija, na aparaturama / sistemima, gde je temperatura bila parametar, a laserski izvor u okviru spektrofluorometarskih sistema, izvršena je serija merenja predstavljena u ovom radu. Izdobijenih spektara interpretirani su razni podaci o materijalu. U ovom radu su predstavljena karakteristična vremena, vezana za oblike izmerenih spektara u vremenskom domenu., Luminescent phenomena inevitably occur in many areas, fromeveryday life to sophisticated applications in science andtechnique. They have long been the subject of research, whereprocesses are modeled and practical systems are realized.Materials science is related to both an increasing number of newmaterials and a large number of materials with a long history. Onthe other hand, there are several processes that lead to theappearance of luminescence. That is why the field of luminescenceis multidisciplinary, constantly present in combination with manyscientific disciplines.In this work, new materials, developed in different ways, wereconsidered. Some of them are synthesized from more commonlypresent chemical compounds, and some are related to variousmatrices and admixtures of rare earths, which, according to today'strend, are related to quantum generators - lasers, as well as varioustypes of sensors, detectors, etc. Changes in the concentration ofadmixtures, to which the active materials in quantum generatorsare connected, directly led to a change in the useful effectcoefficient. This is achieved by exposing active materials to beamsof electromagnetic radiation, as well as by exposing them tonuclear and other types of radiation.Luminescent phenomena from the literature were monitored,and for selected groups of materials that are the product of thelaboratory, on apparatus / systems, where temperature was aparameter, and the laser source within spectrofluorometric systems,a series of measurements presented in this paper was performed.Various data about the material were interpreted from the obtainedspectra. This paper presents characteristic times related to theshapes of the measured spectra in the time domain.",

AB  - Postoje problemi koji treba da se rešavaju u nekoliko različitih grana medicine (fizikalna terapija, dermatologija, uopšteno medicina, uključujući stomatologiju, oftalmologiju i otorinolaringologiju i dr). Ako se koristi prednost različitih snopnih tehnika, pojavljuju se prirodno, iste potrebe i u sferi industrije, heritologije, forenzike. Na drugi način pojavljuje se trend da se, objedinjeno, koriste generalno ista rešenja sa modifikacijama u konkretnoj primeni. U radu je poseban akcent posvećen koherentnom elektromagnetnom zračenju, zadacima u vezi prilaza pojedinačnom slučaju, tehničkoj podršci softverske i hardverske prirode i dati su izabrani rezultati pojedinih interakcija ili slučajeva dobijene modulacije u širem smislu. Posmatran je i izabran potreban teoretski prilaz, kao baza za procenu objektivnih uslova, koji mogu da utiču pozitivno / negativno na dati tretman ili dijagnostiku.
AB  - There are problems that need to be solved for several different
branches of medicine (physical therapy, dermatology, medicine in
general, including dentistry, ophthalmology and
otorhinolaryngology, etc.). If the advantage of various beam
techniques is used, the same needs naturally appear in the sphere of
industry, heritology, and forensics.In order to obtain target
information on the time intervals of therapy, diagnostics and
modulation, it must be taken into account that each treatment of
individuals is a case for itself, related to the general premises of
appropriate dosimetry. That is why in the software there is a large
number of tasks for the operation and inclusion of all parameters
related to a particular case and for intrusions into the often selfstandardized protocols, which are found in the instructions for the
acquisition of new systems, related to Elion techniques. In another
way, there is a trend to use, unitedly, generally the same solutions
with modifications in specific application.
In the paper, a special accent is devoted to coherent
electromagnetic radiation, tasks related to the approach to individual
cases, technical support of a software and hardware nature, and
selected results of individual interactions or cases of received
modulation in a broader sense are given. The necessary theoretical
approach was observed and selected, as a basis for evaluating
objective conditions, which can have a positive / negative effect on
a given treatment or diagnosis.

AB  - Minijaturizacija i pojeftinjenje mikroelektronskih komponenti dovelo je do značajnog širenja bežičnih tehnologija u zadnjih par decenija. Upotreba bežičnih senzorskih mreža u heritologiji vezuje se primarno za evaluaciju stanja objekata: modalnu analizu vibracija, snimanje pukotina u zidovima, detekciju prokišnjavanja i vlage, merenje koncentracije nepoželjnih hemijskih supstanci kao što je ugljen-dioksid, itd. Druge primene uključuju stalni bezbednosni nadzor (zaštitu od nepogoda i provalnika) kao i merenja prilikom sanacije objekata. U ovom pregledu opisane su neke savremene primene bežičnih senzorskih mreža u pomenute svrhe.

Diversity of Appendicularia in Boka Kotorska Bay (Southern Adriatic Sea; NE Mediterranean)

AB  - Appendicularia were collected monthly at seven stations with different hydrographic characteristics at Boka Kotorska Bay in Southern Adriatic, during 2008. We present the Boka Kotorska Bay hydrographic data, together with the data on presence, abundance and distribution of the eight species from two genera.

Former studies have shown that Boka Kotorska Bay is a specific biotope within the southeastern part of Adriatic. Living conditions at Boka Kotorska Bay are very different than those at the open sea. It features typical characteristics of closed coastal waters of the East Adriatic. Zooplankton is represented mainly by eurythermal and euryhaline species, as well as open-sea species that enter the Bay from the deep waters of the southern Adriatic and die out shortly. The Appendicularia of Boka Kotorska Bay are not well-known. Our research has shown that two genera of Appendicularia fauna were present in Boka Kotorska Bay: Oikopleuraand Fritillaria. The Oikopleuragenus was represented by species: O. dioica, O. longicauda and O. fusiformis, while the Fritillariagenus was represented by species: F. aequatorialis, F. megachille, F. pellucida, F. haplostoma and F. borealis. Four species (O. fusiformis,F. aequatorialis, F. megachille and F. borealis) were recorded in Boka Kotorska Bay for the first time. Our observations are based on the analysis of zooplankton samples collected monthly at three shallow stations near the seafood farming areas and four stations in the centre of each inner bay within Boka Kotorska Bay (Kotor, Risan, Tivat and Hercegnovi bays). Zooplankton was collected using Nansen net (100 and 150 μm). The following physical quantities were measured at the same time: temperature [ °C], salinity [‰], pH factor, dissolved O2 concentration [mg/l], Secchi disk depth [m] and colour of the sea using Forel scale I–XXI.

Mixed Spearman's Correlation Suitability for Sine-Shaped Independent Variables in Natural Sciences

AB  - Pearson's and Spearman's methods are most often used in popular software packages to calculate the correlation coefficient between two variables in natural sciences. The (1) difference between them is that the Pearson's method takes actual numerical values into account whereas the Spearman's operates with their ranks. Ranking is often efficient in dealing with nonlinearities and outliers in the data. However, not both independent (x) and outcome (y) variable have to be suitable for this. We propose not to rank the independent variable in case it comes sine-shaped. Most notable example of such a variable in nature is the temperature. It is sine-shaped due to day-night and summer-winter transitions. It does not contain many outliers, not only due to the shape, but also because it is often sampled at multiple points and averaged (to be linked with a single outcome variable observation). The proposed method is evaluated in simulations and with experimental data obtained in South Adriatic zooplankton research. Practical advices on how to apply it using popular software tools are given.

It does not contain many outliers, not only due to the shape, but also because it is often sampled at multiple points and averaged (to be linked with a single outcome variable observation). The proposed method is evaluated in simulations and with experimental data obtained in South Adriatic zooplankton research. Practical advices on how to apply it using popular software tools are given.",

AB  - The application of lasers/quantum generators for various purposes (toys/pacifiers, heavy/rocket industry/space) has changed the millennium, and the trend is growing. In terms of education, doctorates (laser stations/design (SFRJ, Serbia)) have been arriving since the first days. Today there is no precision in the definition: new, started a long time ago; it is stated that lasers are in all areas of life (medicine, defense, mass media). It is basically the interaction of materials and lasing or facts/circumstancesthat lead/or don't to laser damage.Applications have gone far: theoretical, experimental; commercial "leads" no longer state that the process is based on a laser. The work will be limited to several areas (more exotic/potentially newer types of pumping, description of parameters). The interaction is looked at: through experiment, simulation through the case of scattering and temperature distribution and by choosing an area, where a deeper understanding is needed in this broad issue.

AB  - The advances in the technology of cheap and low power consumption microelectronic components have lead to the expansion of wireless technologies in the past two decades. One of the most important shortcomings of all wireless devices, including sensor ones, are limited energy resources. This paper reviews common mechanism of energy harvesting and energy scavenging, which draw power from the environment to feed the energy reserves in wireless sensor networks. They include conversion of the energy of electromagnetic waves, vibrations and heat.
AB  - Razvoj jeftinih mikroelektronskih komponenti niske potrošnje uslovio je ekspanziju bežičnih
tehnologija u zadnje dve dekade. Jedna od glavnih mana svih bežičnih uređaja, uključujući
senzorske, jesu ograničeni energetski resursi. U ovom radu opisani su uobičajeni mehanizmi koji se
koriste u „energy harvesting“ i „energy scavenging“ procedurama, kojima se snaga iz okoline
koristi za dopunjavanje energetskih rezervi u bežičnim senzorskim mrežama. Oni uključuju
konverziju energije elektromagnetskih talasa, vibracija i toplote.

AB  - Oscilatorna kola su neizbežni deo praktično svih elektronskih uređaja. Najčešće se koriste kola na bazi kvarcnih kristala. Prikazan je proces proizvodnje i princip rada kvarcnih oscilatora, kao i podele kristala i oscilatornih kola. Analizirane su metode kvantitativnog opisivanja greške odnosno nestabilnosti frekvencije. AB  - In this paper, the possibility of applying Kirchhoff 's scalar approximation model for determining the backscattering coefficient from rough surfaces is investigated. Surfaces of dielectric and metallic materials, which have low roughness, are considered. Based on the roughness parameters and electrical properties of these materials, the backscattering coefficient is modelled as a function of the incident angle of electromagnetic radiation used in laser scanning. It was represented that the type of scattering and the range of backscattering radiation angles, in the case of seemingly smooth surfaces, vary significantly when the roughness parameters change.
AB  - У овом раду испитивана је могућност примене Кирхофовог модела скаларне апроксимације
за одређивање коефицијента повратног расејања од храпавих површина. Разматране су
површине диелектричних и металних материјала које имају малу храпавост. На основу
параметара храпавости и електричних особина тих материјала, моделиран је коефицијент
повратног расејања у зависност од упадног угла електромагнетског зрачења које сe користи
код ласерског скенирања. Показано је да тип расејања и опсег углова повратног расејања, код
привидно глатких површина, вишеструко варирају при промени параметара храпавости.

AB  - Gravity satellite missions measurement data are primarily intended for use in 
the estimation of an accurate model of Earth’s gravity field. The satellites’ almost 
circular orbits with polar or near-polar inclination of the orbital planes, and low 
altitude (between 250 and 500 km), enable almost full coverage of the globe. Orbit 
tracking by precise high orbiting navigation satellite system provides the data about 
three-dimensional satellite position and its deviations. Precision accelerometers on 
the satellites extend the ability to monitor non-gravitational forces acting on them 
continuously. One of these forces, atmospheric drag along orbits, can be derived 
from the orbit track positions and their derivatives, and also from the precise 
accelerometer measurements, so it can be used for atmospheric mass density 
determination. On the other hand, the density of the atmosphere and its main 
constituents can be derived from the spectroscopic measurements. One of the 
examples is thermospheric mass density determination using neutral mass 
spectrometers on earlier satellite missions. Measurement of the Earth’s far 
ultraviolet (FUV) dayglow is used to infer number density profiles of N2, O, and 
O2. Combination of accelerometers measurements and spectroscopic data is the 
foundation of two widely used empirical models of thermospheric mass density. 
This contribution describes the basic measurements on gravity satellite missions 
and atmospheric drag estimation, gives the comparison and combination of 
obtained data with spectrometric measurements of atmospheric density, and lists 
potential improvements using the data from the recently launched satellite gravity 
missions.

ultraviolet (FUV) dayglow is used to infer number density profiles of N2, O, and 
O2. Combination of accelerometers measurements and spectroscopic data is the 
foundation of two widely used empirical models of thermospheric mass density. 
This contribution describes the basic measurements on gravity satellite missions 
and atmospheric drag estimation, gives the comparison and combination of 
obtained data with spectrometric measurements of atmospheric density, and lists 
potential improvements using the data from the recently launched satellite gravity 
missions.",

AB  - Početkom dvadesetprvog veka, unapređenje a posebno pojeftinjenje mikroelektronskih komponenti dovelo je do značajne ekspanzije bežičnih tehnologija. Često imamo 
potrebu da fizički odvojeni uređaji koriste istu (odnosno, što približniju) vremensku skalu za označavanje veličina i događaja koje prate. Ovo je netrivijalan zadatak budući da su uređaji baterijski napajani i moraju svesti razmenu poruka (koje zahtevaju upotrebu energetski zahtevnog radio interfejsa) na minimum. U tu svrhu osmišljen je veliki broj algoritama i protokola koji se bave problemom usklađivanja satova na bežičnim uređajima u okviru mreže. U ovom radu prikazana su i klasifikovana neka uobičajena rešenja.

AB  - In this manuscript, the chemi-ionization (CI) processes in atom - Rydberg atom collisions are examined. We obtained the cross-sections, as well as rate coefficients for CI processes in potassium and sodium collisions for principal quantum numbers 5⩽n⩽25 in the 500 K ⩽T⩽1500 K temperature region. The presented data could be useful for the improvement of analysis and modelling of weakly ionized layers of different atmospheres and cosmic objects where these and other CI processes could change excited state populations and the free electron density, consequently affecting the optical characteristics.

AB  - Continuously welded rails are a part of the track structure since the 1950s. Total stresses in continuously welded rails include residual stresses generated during the manufacturing process as well as the service life of rails. The control of rail stresses is very important for traffic safety. Measurement methods for residual stress in rails are presented in this paper. Since destructive measurement methods are unsuitable for use in the railway track, the modern non-destructive methods were particularly presented and discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of X-ray diffraction, ultrasonic, magnetic and electromagnetic methods are particularly explained and considered.

Methods for determination of residual stress in rail

AB  - The residual stresses in rails are generated during the manufacturing process and have uneven distribution in rail cross section. The residual stress is a part of basic tensile stress in rail foot. For used rail, the residual stress value of 80 MPa is commonly used in the engineering calculations. On the other hand, the standard EN 13674 prescribes residual stress values up to 250 MPa and destructive method using electrical strain gauge for measurement of rail residual stress. Since destructive measurement methods are unsuitable for use in the track, the possible non-destructive in situ methods for measuring of residual stresses in the rails are discussed in this paper. The fundamentals of X-ray diffraction, ultrasonic, magnetic and electromagnetic methods are explained, as well as, their advantages and disadvantages.

AB  - U radu je opisano ispitivanje sinhronizovanosti podataka koji su uzorkovani putem odvojenih MEMS akcelerometara. Korišćeni su bežični senzorski uređaji razvijeni na Građevinskom fakultetu u Beogradu, namenjeni merenju vibracija građevinskih objekata. Poznato je da ovi uređaji mogu da postignu tačnost vremenskog označavanja uzoraka reda veličine10 μs za kraće merne periode (ispodminuta). Ovo znači da je greška koju elektronika unosi zanemarljiva za merenje mehaničkih veličina sa frekvencijom uzorkovanja reda veličine kHz. Analizirane su varijacije u fazi izlaznih signala različitih senzora prilikom identične pobude. Problem je ograničena mogućnost ostvarivanja identične mehaničke pobude na različitim mestima u prostoru, te je bez savršene opreme nemoguće razgraničiti koliki deo greške potiče od nepoklapanja ulaznih signala, a koliki od nesavršenosti senzorskog aparata. Pokazano je da je moguće dobiti standardnu devijaciju vremenskog ofseta između snimljenih signala reda veličine milisekunde.

abstract = "U radu je opisano ispitivanje sinhronizovanosti podataka koji su uzorkovani putem odvojenih MEMS akcelerometara. Korišćeni su bežični senzorski uređaji razvijeni na Građevinskom fakultetu u Beogradu, namenjeni merenju vibracija građevinskih objekata. Poznato je da ovi uređaji mogu da postignu tačnost vremenskog označavanja uzoraka reda veličine10 μs za kraće merne periode (ispodminuta). Ovo znači da je greška koju elektronika unosi zanemarljiva za merenje mehaničkih veličina sa frekvencijom uzorkovanja reda veličine kHz. Analizirane su varijacije u fazi izlaznih signala različitih senzora prilikom identične pobude. Problem je ograničena mogućnost ostvarivanja identične mehaničke pobude na različitim mestima u prostoru, te je bez savršene opreme nemoguće razgraničiti koliki deo greške potiče od nepoklapanja ulaznih signala, a koliki od nesavršenosti senzorskog aparata. Pokazano je da je moguće dobiti standardnu devijaciju vremenskog ofseta između snimljenih signala reda veličine milisekunde.",

AB  - Cross-axial or transverse sensitivity of an accelerometer can be compensated by digital processing of the output signal. To perform this, it is necessary to determine coefficients that describe a sensor's response to excitation experimentally. Many procedures advised by standards and scientific papers use expensive equipment which is not available in every laboratory. Therefore, a simple method is proposed, namely a variation of the static tilt test, requiring no other measuring equipment than the sensor itself and a flat surface. Results vary depending on sensor surface and housing quality, but it has been shown that cross sensitivity effects can be reduced from several percent usually associated with commercial three-axial MEMS accelerometers down to 1% or less.
AB  - Kros- aksijalna, odnosno poprečna osetljivost akcelerometra može biti kompenzovana digitalnim procesiranjem izlaznog signala. Da bi se to izvelo, potrebno je eksperimentalno odrediti koeficijente koji opisuju odgovor senzora na pobudu. Mnoge procedure koje se odnose na to, a koje su preporučene standardima i naučnim člancima, koriste skupu opremu koja nije dostupna u svakoj laboratoriji. Zato je predložen jednostavan alternativni metod, varijacija statičkog tilt-testa, koji ne zahteva nikakvu drugu mernu opremu osim senzora i ravne površine. Rezultati variraju u zavisnosti od kvaliteta površine i kućišta senzora, ali je pokazano da se efekti poprečne osetljivosti mogu smanjiti bar nekoliko puta, te da se tipična poprečna osetljivost komercijalnih troosnih MEMS akcelerometara od nekoliko procenata može lako svesti ispod 1%.

AB  - Razvojem i modernizacijom oskultacionih instrumenata postiže se veća tačnost i ponovljivost merenja, ali i automatsko očitavanje i akvizicija mernih podataka, a samim tim i praćenje stanja objekata u realnom vremenu. Senzori na bazi vibrirajuće žice, pijezometri, se po pravilu koriste za primene gde se očekuje dugoročno praćenje stanja objekata, na primer kod tunela i brana. Pouzdanost ovih instrumenata je od najvećeg značaja s obzirom da se oni ugrađuju u beton brane i teško se mogu pomerati sa mernih mesta radi ponovne kalibracije. Ovaj rad opisuje princip rada pijezometara kao i faktore koji utiču na njihovu dugoročnu pouzdanost. Na brani „Bajina Bašta“ je postavljen veliki broj ovih senzora. Na osnovu dobijenih mernih podataka su analizirane njihove merne karakteristike tokom vremena. Korišćeno je više serija podataka osmatranja za duži vremenski period. Ovi rezultati omogućavaju ocenu efikasnosti primenjenih antifiltracionih mera, što je naročito značajno za ocenu opšte stabilnosti brane.

AB  - Bridž predstavlja najkompleksniju igru sa kartama i pored šaha jedina je misaona igra koja ima status sporta. Takmičarski bridž je baziran na metodu duplikacije karata, odigravanja istih deljenja od strane različitih igrača, i poređenju rezultata, čime se faktor 
sreće značajno umanjuje. Bridž turnir u današnje vreme podrazumeva upotrebu sofisticirane opreme koja uključuje bežičnu mrežu za prenos i obračun rezultata. Različiti klubovi u Srbiji koriste različite vrste softverskih paketa za obračun rezultata, a ponekad se ovaj vrši i ručno. Ove rezultate je potrebno proslediti centralnom serveru Bridž Saveza Srbije radi obrade i dodele master poena i titula, i prikaza raznih informacija, kao što su izveštaji sa turnira, lista igrača, ili trenutni plasman na ciklusima takmičenja koji su u toku. U radu je opisan online sistem dizajniran u ovu svrhu, čiji je dalji razvoj posao kome se ne nazire kraj.

Walsh analysis - a convenient preprocessor for period detection in astronomy

AB  - Walsh analysis is practically analogous to Fourier analysis, except that square wave is used instead of the sine one. It has one major advantage over Fourier - it can be performed much faster. This may seem of little importance at first, since computers have gotten to the point where most programmers do not take any care about the size of their code or the speed of their calculations. However, LSST will provide astronomers with huge data sets, and searching for periodicity peaks with high resolution might require enourmous amount of calculations. To perform this analysis in real time (a matter of seconds) it is important to skip non-necessary mathematical operations and focus on applying complex period detection algorithms (such as line fitting, analysis of variance, and others) only in the vicinity of expected peaks, not on all arbitrary periods. To do this efficiently, we propose that Walsh analysis is applied on the data first. A simulation was conducted with artifiucially generated light curves for the three types of variable stars: RRLyr, Algols and classical cepheids. LSST current baseline cadence (enigma 1189) was used for the timing of samples.
