Automatic feeder for domestic and wild animals on pastures

AB  - This paper presents a prototype of an automatic feeder for domestic and wild animals in organic farming. A simple, self-contained domestic and wild animal feeder was presented that has fully autonomous operation for up to 60 days. Electricity can be supplied from the mains and from photo voltaic cells max 100 W. The food dosing process of the container can be done one or more times a day. The amount of food to be added can be selected, ie the same amount of concentrated food is dosed each day, or the amount of dosed food is increased or decreased over time. The results of testing the operation of the equipment in use were conducted on a single farm with several cows in organic farming. The monitoring of work in the period from May to October 2019 showed high reliability and complete independence in the operation of the automatic feeder for domestic and wild animals and that as such can be applied in organic breeding of domestic and wild animals.
AB  - U radu je prikazan prototip automatskog uređaja za prihranu domaćih i divljih životinja u organskom i slobodnom uzgoju na pašnjacima. Prikazan je jednostavan uređaj za prihranu domaćih i divljih životinja koji ima potpuno autonoman rad čak i do 60 dana u zavisnosti od broja životinja koje se hrane. Napajanje elektromotora elektičnom energijom se može ostvariti iz mreže i iz fotonaponskih ćelija max 100 W. Proces doziranja hrane iz kontejnera se može obaviti jednom ili vše puta dnevno. Količina hrane koje se dodaje može da se podešava svakoga dana i dozira, odnosno povećava ili smanjuje tokom vremena u zavisnosti od stanja i količine raspoložive kabaste hrane na pašnjaku i potrebe životinja. Ispitivanja rada uređaja u eksploataciji sprovedeni su na porodičnom poljoprivrednom gazdinstvu gde su krave provele jedan deo godine na pašnjaku. Praćenje rada uređaja za prihranu životinja na otvorenom polju obavljeno je u vremenskom periodu od maja do oktobra meseca. Rezultati ispitivanja pokazuju visoku pouzdanost i potpunu samostalnost u radu automatskog uređaja za prihranu domaćih i divljih životinja i da se kao takav može primeniti u organskom, ekološkom i slobodnom uzgoju na pašnjacima.

Praćenje rada uređaja za prihranu životinja na otvorenom polju obavljeno je u vremenskom periodu od maja do oktobra meseca. Washing and Desinfection of the Wells Type Reni

AB  - We show in this work the treatment procedure utilized for cleaning and desnfection of water in water wells of large capacity as in the case of wells of Belgrade Waterworks. The typical examples of such well of large capacity are Reni wells 2 i 4 located 50m from the left bank of the river Sava and in close geometrical distance of confluence of Save river into the Danube. The depth of wells is around 30 m, diamaeter of around 4 m with approximat content of 300 m3 of water. In this work, we demonstate a simple but innovative approach for the disinfection of the well bottom, vertical areas along the well and inner inlets that pump in the water into the well.
AB  - U radu je prikazan postupak za čišćenje i dezinfekciju vode u bunarima velikih kapaciteta Beogradskog vodovoda. Tipičan primer bunara velikih kapaciteta je Reni bunar 2 i 4 koji su locirani na 50m od leve obale Save u neposrednoj blizini ušća Save u Dunav. Bunari su dubine oko 30m, prečnika 4 m i sadrže oko 300 m3 vode i sa horizontalnim drenovima dužine 50m. Prezentovan je jednostavan i jeftin način za hiperdezinfekciju bunarskog dna i bunarske vertikale. Takođe je pokušano da se tretiraju i unutrašnjost drenova koji napajaju ovakve bunare.

Preparation and studies on immobilized α-glucosidase from baker’s yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae

AB  - α-Glucosidase from S. cerevisiae was covalently immobilized onto Sepabeads EC-EA by the glutaraldehyde method. An analysis of the variables controlling the immobilization process is first presented and it is shown that the highest coupling of α-glucosidase occurred within 24 h. Also, a loading of 30 mg/g support proved to be effective, resulting in a rather high activity of around 45 U g-1 with a satisfactory degree of enzyme fixed. Both free and immobilized enzymes were then characterized by determining the activity profile as a function of pH, temperature and thermal stability. The obtained immobilized preparation showed the same optimum pH, but a higher optimum temperature compared with the soluble one. In addition, the immobilized enzyme treated at 45 ºC for 1 h still retained an activity of around 20 %, whereas the free enzyme completely lost its original activity under this condition. In conclusion, the developed immobilization procedure is quite simple, easily reproducible and provides a promising solution for the application of immobilized α-glucosidase.
AB  - Maltaza iz S. cerevisiae je kovalentno imobilizovana na Sepabeads EC-EA nakon aktivacije nosača rastvorom glutaraldehida. Ispitivanjem kinetike imobilizacije utvrđeno je da se 25 % enzima imobilizuje nakon 24 časa. Imobilizovana α-glukozidaza ima isti pH optimum kao i rastvorni enzim, dok je optimalna temperatura za aktivnost imobilizovanog enzima uvećana za 10 °C u poređenju sa rastvornim enzimom. Kada se uporede zaostale aktivnosti rastvorne i imobilizovane forme α-glukozidaze, nakon inkubacije od 1 h na 45 °C rastvorni enzim ne pokazuje aktivnost dok imobilizovana forma zadržava oko 20 % početne aktivnosti. Imobilizovana forma enzima zadržava 20 % početne aktivnosti čak i posle 3 h inkubacije na 45 °C.

Study of gold-platinum and platinum-gold surface modification and its influence on hydrogen evolution and oxygen reduction

AB  - Surface modification of the electrodes was conducted from sulfuric acid solutions containing the corresponding metal-chloride complexes using cyclic voltammeter. Comparing the charges of the hydrogen underpotential deposition region, and the corresponding oxide reduction regions, it is concluded that a platinum overlayer on gold forms 3D islands, while gold on platinum forms 2D islands. Foreign metals present in an amount of up to one monolayer exert an influence on the change in reaction rate with respect to both hydrogen evolution (HER) and oxygen reduction (ORR) reactions. Aplatinum overlayer on a gold substrate increases the activity for HER and for ORR, compared with pure gold. These results can be understood in terms of a simple model, in which the change in the H and OH binding energies are directly proportional to the shift of the d-bond center of the overlayer. On the contrary, a gold layer on platinum slightly decreases the activity for both reactions compared with pure platinum.
AB  - Površinska modifikacija platine zlatom i zlata platinom je izvršena iz rastvora sumporne kiseline i odgovarajućih hloridnih kompleksa metala primenom ciklične voltametrije. Poređenjem količine naelektrisanja u oblasti potpotencijalne depozicije vodonika i odgovarajućih oblasti redukcije oskida čistih i modifikovanih elektroda zaključeno je da platina na zlatu formira 3D, a zlato na platini 2D ostrva. Aktivnosti ovako modifikovanih površina za reakcije izdvajanja vodonika i redukcije kiseonika u rastvoru sumporne kiseline poređene sa aktivnostima čistih metala. Elektroda od zlata modifikovana platinom značajno uvećava aktivnost za obe ispitivane rekacije u poređenju sa čistim zlatom. Sa druge strane, elektroda od platine modifikovana zlatom ima neznatno manju aktivnost u poređenju sa čistom platinom. Zbog ograničenih resursa i visoke cene platine platina modifikovana zlatom može biti zamena za čistu platinu kao dobar katalizator za reakciju redukcije kiseonika, posebno u gorivim spregovima u oblasti niskih temperatura.

AB  - The corrosion behavior of mild steel, mild steel covered by electrochemically deposited polyaniline (PANI) film, epoxy coating and PANI/epoxy coating system in 0.1 M sulfuric acid solution, were investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Electrochemical deposition of PANI film was performed from aqueous solution of 0.5 M sodium benzoate and 0.1 M aniline at constant current density of 1.5 mA cm-2. Epoxy coatings on mild steel and mild steel modified by PANI film were deposed at constant voltage. It was shown that thin PANI film had provided good corrosion protection of mild steel in 0.1 M sulfuric acid solution, and could be used for modification of mild steel prior to epoxy coating deposition. The increased corrosion protection of mild steel by PANI / epoxy coating system in the same solution was obtained.
AB  - Koroziono ponašanje mekog čelika, mekog čelika sa elektrohemijski taloženim filmom polianilina (PANI), epoksi prevlake na mekom čeliku i PANI/epoksi sistema na mekom čeliku, je ispitivano primenom elektrohemijske impedansne spektroskopije (EIS). Elektrohemijsko taloženja filma PANI na mekom čeliku je ostvareno u vodenom rastvoru 0.5 M Na-benzoata i 0.1 M anilina, pod galvanostatskim uslovima (1.5 mA cm-2). Eposkidne prevlake na mekom čeliku i mekom čeliku modifikovanom sa filmom PANI, su taložene u uslovima konstantnog napona. Pokazano je da PANI film omogućava dobru zaštitu mekom čeliku od korozije u 0.1 M rastvoru sumporne kiseline, pa se može koristiti kao modifikacija mekog čelika pre taloženja epoksidnih prevlaka. Uočena je povećana koroziona zaštita mekog čelika sa prevlakom PANI/epoksi, u odnosu na meki čelik sa epoksi prevlakom.

AB  - The electrochemical synthesis of polyaniline (PANI) on mild steel from the sodium-benzoate solutions has been investigated. It has been concluded that thin, highly adherent, polyaniline films could be obtained by anodic oxidation with current densities between 0,5 and 1 5 mA cm-2. The corrosion behavior of mild steel with polyaniline coating in 0,1 mol dm-3 sulfuric acid and 0,5 mol dm-3 NaCl (pH=3) solutions, has been investigated by spectrophotometric technique. The atmospheric corrosion behavior has also been investigated. It has been concluded that this coatings provided corrosion protection of mild steel in all mentioned corrosion environments.
AB  - U radu je ispitivana elektrohemijska sinteza polianilina (PANI) na mekom čeliku iz rastvora anilina i natrijum-benzoata. Ustanovljeno je da se tanki dobro adherentni, filmovi polianilina mogu formirati na mekom čeliku pri anodnim gustinama struja od 0.5-1.5 mA cm-2. Ispitivano je koroziono ponašanje mekog čelika sa prevlakom polianilina u rastvoru 0.1 mol dm-3 sumporne kiseline i 0.5 mol dm-3 NaCl (pH=3) spektrofotomertrijskom tehnikom, a takođe i atmosferska korozija. Ustanovljeno je da ove prevlake pružaju korozionu zaštitu mekom čeliku и svim ispitivanim korozionim sredinama.

AB  - In this paper the anodic behavior of mild steel in the different solutions of the organic and the inorganic electrolytes, with the aim to select the electrolyte for the electrochemical synthesis of electro conducting polymer films. On the basis of anodic polarization and galvanastatics curves, a solution of the sodium-benzoate and sodium-nitrite has been found to be potentially good electrolytes for the syntheses of electro conducting polymer films.
AB  - U radu je ispitano anodno ponašanje mekog čelika u različitim rastvorima organskih i neorganskih elektrolita, u cilju izbora elektrolita za elektrohemijsku sintezu filmova elektroprovodnih polimera. Na osnovu anodnih potenciostatskih i galvanostatskih krivih ustanovljeno je da rastvori natrijum-benzoata i natrijum-nitrita mogu biti potencijalno dobri elektroliti za sintezu filmova elektroprovodnih polimera.
