AB  - Monodisperse bimetallic Ag/Co composite nanocrystals have been prepared using colloid chemistry methods. Transmission electron microscopy showed well isolated Ag/Co particles centered around 12 nm in diameter. The composition of the particles was determined by energy disperse X-ray spectrometry. Bulk-like fcc-structures of both components were determined within the individual crystals using selected area electron diffraction. A AgcoreCoshell structure of the bimetallic particles was observed by transmission electron microscopy and electron energy-loss spectroscopy.
