dc.description.abstract | In the present study, the modified coffee residues were used as low cost adsorbent for immobilization of cellulase enzyme. In the batch model for adsorption, the experimental parameters: the temperature, the initial cellulase concentration and the agitation rate of adsorption process were investigated. The maximal percentages of immobilization yield (approximately 28%) and immobilization efficiency (approximately 48%) were obtained with the temperature of 40 °C, the initial cellulase concentration of 1 mg/mL and the agitation rate of 120 rpm. The state of dynamic equilibrium was reached after 60 minutes and the pseudo-second-order model was predicted to follow the process kinetic. | sr |
