dc.description.abstractIn this study, antimicrobial efficiency and its laundering durability on cotton and polyester fabrics loaded with colloidal Ag nanoparticles was evaluated. The influence of the presence of Ag nanoparticles on the color change of dyed fabrics and the influence of dyeing on antimicrobial efficiency of Ag loaded fabrics was determined. Despite the low content of Ag nanoparticles detected in the cotton and polyester fabrics, the extraordinary antibacterial and antifungal efficiency was obtained. Ag loaded cotton fabrics exhibited significantly better laundering durability compared to polyester fabrics. In both cases, the color of dyed fabrics was affected by the Ag loading.sr
