Investigation of dynamic young modulus during thermal stability testing of the refractory material

Određivanje dinamičkog jungovog modula elastičnosti tokom ispitivanja termostabilnosti vatrostalnog materijala

Abstract
Thermal stability of the refractory material with the content of 42 % Al2O3 was investigated. Water quench test (JUS.B.D8.319.) was applied. Photographs of the samples before cycling, and after some number of cycles were given. Dynamic Young modulus of elasticity was calculated using measured values of longitudinal (Vp) and transverzal (Vs) velocites. Values of dynamic Young modulus and changing in compresive strength during testing were presented as function of the measured number of quench experiments. Analysis of the thermal shock behavior of the samples based on the obtained results was given.
Ispitivana je termostabilnost vatrostalnog materijala sa sadržajem 42 % Al2O3. Korišćena je standardna metoda vodenog hladjenja (JUS.B.D8.319.). Uzorci su snimljeni pre ispitivanja, kao i posle odredjenog broja ciklusa. Dinamički Jungov modul elastičnosti je odredjen na osnovu izmerenih brzina logitudinalnih (Vp) i transverzalnih (Vs) talasa. Pretstavljene su vrednosti dinamičkog modula elastičnosti i promene pritisne čvrstoće u funkciji broja ciklusa ispitivanja termostabilnosti. Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata data je analiza praćenja ponašanja vatrostalnog uzorka izloženom termošoku.
