Gljive su izvor raznih farmakološki aktvinih komponenti zahvaljujući čemu su postale predmet ospežnih istraživanja u poslednjih nekoliko decenija. Lekovite gljive korsitili su mnogi narodi širom sveta, a naročito dalekog istoka, hiljadama godina, ali je tek s razvojem analitike bilo moguće okarakterisati njihovo dejstvo.
