Study of alkylation reaction of n-(4-methylphenyl)- 2-phenylacetamide and n-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-phenylacetamide with benzyl chloride under basic conditions
Ispitivanje reakcije alkilovanja n-(4-metilfenil)-2-fenilacetamida i n-(4-metoksifenil)-2-fenilacetamida benzilhloridom u baznoj sredini
Apstrakt
N-(4-Methylphenyl)-2-phenylacetamide and N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-phenylacetamide were alkylated with benzyl chloride in the presence of powdered KOH in various solvents as well as in the presence of phase-transfer catalysts, in order to establish the orientation in the reaction. Gas chromatography was used to study the formation of expected products of alkylation.
N-(4-metilfenil)-2-fenilacetamid i N-(4-metoksifenil)-2-fenilacetamid alkilovani su benzilhloridom u prisustvu sprašenog kalijum-hidroksida u različitim rastvaračima na 60 C i temperaturi refluksa. Alkilovanje je izvršeno i u prisustvu međufaznih katalizatora u toluenu. Reaktivnost polaznih amida kao i nastajanje očekivanih proizvoda reakcije je praćena gasnom hromatografijom koristeći prethodno sintetizovane supstance.
