dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the effect of alkali modifications (using 1% NaOH for 30 min or 17.5% NaOH for 5 min) on the jute fabrics' adsorption efficiency for various cations (Cu2+, Zn2+, and Ni2+) and anthraquinone dye (C.I. Acid Blue 111) was examined. The raw jute fabric possessed 52.7, 38.4, and 34.0% adsorption efficiency for Ni2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+, respectively, while the alkali modified ones have up to 77.9, 68.1, and 60.4% adsorption efficiency for these cations. All studied fabrics are characterized by very good adsorption efficiencies (from 79.6 up to 98.9%) for anthraquinone dye C.I. Acid Blue 111.sr
