The content of heavy metals in representative wheat samples taken from all important wheat growing regions of Serbia was analysed, Concentration of 8 trace elements in 14 wheat samples was determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometric technique. The obtained results were compared with the allowed maximum concentration given by the National Regulation and with literature published data. The data were interpreted using multiple linear correlation analysis.
