Selection of Calculation Method for Temperature Distribution in 99 Mass-% Al 2 O 3 Refractories
Abstract
Refractories are constantly exposed to temperature changes. In most cases this exposure causes damage. In this work, attention is paid to problems of non-steady-state heat transfer. Some analytical and numerical methods for solving the non-steady-state heat transfer equation are discussed. Also, the results of different methods are compared. The influence of temperature at the beginging of cooling on the temperature distribution is discussed. Recommendations how to choose the appropriate method of temperature distribution calculation are given.
