A.C. impedance measurements have quantitatively determined the pore resistance, capacitance and relative permittivity of organic films on epoxy-resin coated steels. The time dependence of these characteristics of protective coatings, formed at different voltages, shows the effect of applied voltage on the corrosive behavior of polymer-coated steel. An increase in the applied voltage increases the pore resistance and decreases the capacitance and relative permittivity.en
