dc.description.abstractResults presented in this paper contribute to investigation of the influence of solidification rate (R) and the initial concentration of solute (C-o) on the interface shape and the distribution of the solute. Solidification of Al-Cu alloy was performed using Vertical Bridgman method. Within the range of experimental solidification rates, the change of interface shape from planar to cellular has been observed and investigated. According to distribution of the solute, the k(e) (Cu) was calculated for each solidification rate and k(e) as a function of R was presented.en
