Abstract
Polymer blends are mostly immiscible at a molecular level due to their large molecular mass. Therefore, the study of the way how two polymers are mixed together is of great interest. The properties of the polymer blend are very much influenced by the structure obtained during the processing of their combination, and the way to study this structure is of key importance in materials science. The aim of materials science is to correlate structural parameters to the processing and properties of a material and those studies are confirmed to be very important in the design of this class of materials. The microscopic techniques are the way to observe the structural parameters of polymer blends and to obtain data that can be used in further analysis. The ways to observe the structure of the blend and the way to treat some representative polymer blend structures are presented in the chapter.
