Non-destructive structural health monitoring of civil engineering structures is based on vibrations masurements of objects during dynamic tests or during theirexploitation. Wireless sensor networks are increasingly being used for this purpose. They make flexibleand inexpensive measurement systems because large cables to connect the sensors are avoided. This paper presents a vibration monitoring wireless system developed at the Faculty of Civil engineering in Belgrade. The structure and characteristics of the measurement system, based on low consumption electronic components and original embedded software real time operating system, are described.
