Abstract
The atmospheric gases: oxygen, nitrogen and argon are transported in liquid form, because in that form they take up less volume than in gas form. As their temperature in a liquid state is around - 190oC these gases are transported in double vacuum-isolated cylindrical tanks. The inner vessel of the auto tank, as a rule, is made of austenitic steel. In this work, the calculation of the specifically set inspection opening in tanks for the transport of liquefied atmospheric gases, volume of 23 m3, of the manufacturer „Cryptolans“. The calculation is perfomed in accordance with standards applicable in the Republic of Serbia. The paper compares the results obtained by calculation with the values measured in the auto tank.
