dc.description.abstract | The thermal shock behavior of a large grain size alumina based refractories were investigated both experimentally, using standard procedure of water quench test and using mathematical calculation method for determining the thermal stability behavior. Behavior of the samples was monitored using ultrasonic measurements and Image Pro Plus Program was used for measurement of material destruction level during the testing. The simple mathematical model for temperature, stress and fracture distribution was also presented. Analysis of the obtained results for the behavior of the large grain size samples in the conditions of rapid temperature changes was given. | en |
