dc.description.abstract | A draft tube spouted bed dryer with inert particles was used for drying suspensions. The effects of the operating conditions on dryer throughput and product quality were investigated. Experiments were performed in a cylindrical column 215 mm in diameter with a draft tube 70 mm in diameter and 900 mm in length. The bed was made of polyethylene particles, 3.3 mm in diameter with a density of 921 kg/m3. The fungicide Zineb, calcium carbonate, calcium stearate and pure water were used as feeding materials. A drying model using the continuity and momentum equations for turbulent accelerating two-phase flows and conventional rate equations is proposed and discussed. The work is relevant for estimating dryer performance. | sr |
dc.description.abstract | On a utilisé un séchoir à lit jaillissant muni d’un tube d’aspiration avec des particules inertes pour le séchage des suspensions. L’effet des conditions opératoires sur la capacité du séchoir et la qualité du produit ont été étudiés. Les expériences ont été effectuées dans une colonne cylindrique de 215 mm de diamètre munie d’un tube d’aspiration de 70 mm de diamètre et 900 mm de long. Le lit se compose de particules de polyéthylène de 3,3 mm de diamètre et d’une masse volumique de 921 kg/m3. On a utilisé comme matéri-aux d’alimentation le fongicide Zineb, du carbonate de calcium, du stéarate de calcium et de l’eau pure. On propose et analyse un modèle de séchage basé sur les équations de continuité et de quantité de mouvement de l’écoulement diphasique accélérant turbulent et les équations cinétiques classiques. Ce travail est pertinent pour l’estimation de la performance des séchoirs. | sr |
