Air Cooler for Crystal Growth in a Laboratory Tube Furnace
Abstract
A new air cooler design (“specific two-level crystallization incubator”) with a specific arrangement of laboratory vessels by levels and double-branch air conductors at the ends and a series of movable cold thresholds installed in a laboratory tube furnace is presented. The advantage of our design over existing ones is that the setups allow easy regulation of conditions and simultaneous crystallization of several substances at different crystallization rates in crucibles and Tamman test tubes. The apparatus enables the crystal growth from melt of some metals in the operating temperature range from 80 to 500°C.
