dc.description.abstract | The title compound, catena-poly[[N-methylpropane-1,3diaminium [mu-phosphato-(mu-hydrogen phosphato)(mu-dihydrogen phosphato) dizincate(II)]], {(C4H14N2)[Zn-2(PO4)(HPO4)(H2PO4)]}(n), consists of macroanionic [Zn-2(PO4)(HPO4)(H2PO4)](2-) layers and intercalated (C4H12N2)(2+) cations. The layers are built up from ZnO4 and PO4/HPO4/H2PO4 tetrahedra that result in small channels of approximate diameter 3.7 angstrom within the layers. Framework-to-framework O - H center dot center dot center dot O and template-to-framework N - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds are important in stabilizing the structure. | en |
